Home for a night

Today we started out in Prosser, Wa and delivered our load to Plush Pippen Bakery in Kent. While getting unloaded, I was able to meet up with my Dad for lunch.

Our next load is going from Fife to Boise with another load of HVAC supplies. We dropped our trailer and have to wait until 15:00 tomorrow to pick up our trailer. So we bobtailed up to my dad's house for a hot cooked meal, Hot Shower, and a warm bed.

A Sweet Haul

Today we got dispatched to pick up some Sugar and haul it to a Bakery in Kent, WA from Nampa, ID.

Simple enough right...

Wrong!!

Our trailer had to be inspected for cleanliness and then we were allowed to enter the plant only after sweeping out our trailer. Got my Cardio in for the day. Once inside, a secondary inspection took place as we are haling food grade products. They found a small hole in the upper left corner of the trailer that would allow moisture in. So they rejected our trailer. Off to call dispatch to locate a repair facility.

One located 20 miles away. 3 hours later, we are repaired, inspected, and loaded. Off to Kent, Wa over the mountains in Eastern Oregon. We didn't encounter any adverse weather other than a brief 20 min closure outside Baker City due to a hazmat spill.

Made it to Prosser, Wa for the night.

Snow???

Today we awoke to hearing that chains are required for the mountain passes. We had to get our loaded trailer from Fife to Boise by 6 am Monday. We decided to head south to Portland and cut over on 84 to Pendelton. We then would check on Deadman Pass. Once we got there, no more chains required. So onward we pressed and made it to Boise by 9 pm MST. Good Night

Delayed postings

I’m a little behind on my postings as we had a load to pick up in Fullerton, California and deliver it to Bellingham. We ran hard so that I could spend a few hours with my granddaughter before her birthday today. Will update soon.

Seeing my girls

Today was a special day, as we had some time on our clock that I could spend a few hours with my daughters & granddaughter.

The day started out in Oregon and ended in Fife via Everett & Bellingham. First stop was for a shower before meeting up with my girls in Everett.

After showers, we headed to Everett to meet up with my girls. I was taken way by my daughters for lunch at Mikie's Burger Stand, Birthday gifts at their huse, before heading to Starbucks and back onto the truck.

After the visit, we headed to Bellingham to drop the trailer at a secure drop yard. Then dispatch called and asked us to get a trailer at Gensco in Fife. So back south we headed. We stayed at the Loves in Fife and will get the trailer in the morning as the yard was locked when we got there.
